Academic Overview
Kissan International School has an Early Childhood Education (ECE) program for children between the age of 2 years 9 months and 5 years 8 months.
The entire ECE curriculum focuses on the all-round development of the child with an emphasis on the learning of languages, gross and fine motor skills and skills required to prepare them for formal academics.
Through this programme, children learn to:
- 1. be independent
- 2. give, share and receive affection
- 3. make choices and decisions
- 4. get along with others
- 5. be disciplined
- Kissan International School follows the curriculum set by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
- English is the primary medium of instruction while Sanskrit is the second language.
- Environmental Education and Science are taught through project work. This teaching model focuses on development of research and presentation skills among children.

This program is conducted once a week for classes I to X. It involves activities and discussions designed to encourage children to interact freely on a topic or to address specific concerns. Through this programme, students learn to appreciate perspectives other than their own, develop critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Apart from academics, co-curricular activities such as Art, Craft, Yoga, Computer technology, Scouts and Guides, Music and Physical Education play a vital role in the holistic development of a child. These activities are therefore a part of the curriculum in Kissan International School.
Students are given opportunities to learn and pursue a number of activities in Kissan International School. The table below details the some of the activities offered.

The assessment process at Kissan International School is designed to provide feedback to teachers, students and parents about the effectiveness of the teaching methodology. The purpose is to identify specific learning needs and modify the teaching strategies to meet these needs.
For pre-primary students, the assessment involves monitoring and keeping a record of relevant milestones such as development of gross motor skills and eye-hand coordination.
For primary and secondary students, all class-work and home-work assignments, projects and participation in co-curricular activities are recorded and graded periodically. Formal testing procedures are followed only for Std.VI to Std.X. The test schedules are notified to parents through the students' diary ten days prior to the test. A minimum of forty percent is required to pass each test. Students using unfair means during tests will be debarred from the examination and would have to face disciplinary action.

We also declare to the effect that we have gone through the contents of the books prescribed by the school and own the responsibility" If a school is found prescribing a book having any objectionable content, the responsibility for such content shall lie with the school and action will be initiated against the school by the board.
